Turiya: A Global Fusion of Conscious Sound
Turiya is a multinational collective creating original, heart-centered music that fosters deep connections to spirit and community. Blending global influences, their sound unites listeners through introspective lyrics, intricate rhythms, and emotive melodies. This cross-continental lineup—spanning North and South America—embodies cultural synthesis and universal resonance.
The band is comprised of:
- Rod MacCormack (Halifax, Canada): vocals, guitar, songwriter.
- Yenny Farías (Chile): percussion, vocals, guitar, songwriter.
- Alan Robertson (Calgary, Canada): harmonium, guitar, percussion, vocals, songwriter, and producer.
- Bob Siewnarine (Trinidad and Tobago): bass, guitar, vocals, songwriter.
In April 2025, Turiya released their debut album, Samskaras – an eight-track exploration of karmic themes and personal growth, produced by Alan Robertson. Available on major platforms, it evokes emotional catharsis and transcendence.

Alan Robertson
Born in Calgary, Alan was inspired and guided from a young age toward music by his mother Laurie who put him in piano lessons, and father Bill who played piano and guitar, and seeded his consciousness with early musical tastes. Now, at 37, after 30 years of playing and practice through a Jazz Guitar Performance college diploma and various bands and recording projects, Alan composes, plays and sings in honour of our ineffable spiritual core as conscious, evolving beings

Bob Siewnarine
Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, Bob brings a deep spiritual presence to every note he plays. A songwriter, bassist, and devoted organizer of kirtans, his music carries the warmth of his roots and the sincerity of his practice. His playing is both grounding and expansive, offering a steady heartbeat to every gathering.

Rod MacCormack
Rod MacCormack— artist name, francis. — grew up on Canada’s East Coast and now calls Calgary home. Since 1985 he’s been writing songs that hit like late-night confessions: raw truth delivered in a voice weathered by coastal and prairie winds.
With his band Turiya he crafts consciously-aware originals—mantras for modern souls—blending heartland rock with spiritual fire. Their sets weave his lyrics with those of his bandmates, delivered with energy that ignites souls, opens hearts, and reminds listeners who they truly are. Turiya’s latest album, Samskaras, is streaming everywhere – five songs and 2 mantras of reckoning and release, recorded authentic and raw — no click, no polish, just the band breathing as one.
